Powwow architects is a small and experienced office in central Oslo. We work in a variety of scales - from small cabins and kindergartens to office and apartment buildings.
In our practice we wish to craft gentle and resource-smart architecture that is sympathetic to its surroundings and precise in its detailling. We aspire to creating delightful spaces, both inside and out, that actively engage and contribute to their neighbourhood.
Powwow architects have a collaborative approach to design. We strive to find smart and simple solutions to complex tasks and be efficient in our use of resources - in materials, spatial programme and economy.
We do not have a defined style, preferring to work together with the client and the context of the task to find the richness in each project. Our approach to architecture is open and playful, and we enjoy collaborating with other disciplines to find new and fresh solutions.

Our experience in practice includes all phases of planning and construction, from early concept and feasibility studies. We also offer professional guidance throughout the approval processes.
We are skilled in construction, detailing and technical regulations. Combined with an understanding of aesthetics and form, we aim to create designs that are rational, functional and beautiful.
Powwow architects are experienced in working with existing structures and environments - refurbishment, extensions, adaptive re-use and small-scale urban interventions.
We are curious and analytical, working to understand existing structures and find innovative ways to give them new life. Our goal is to mend, repair and improve the existing condition.

In Powwow, we are committed to designing architecture that contributes positively to our environment.
Through our practice we aim to deliver projects that foster good neighbourhoods and promote social sustainability; are energy and resource efficient in construction and use; and prioritise nature and vegetation.
